    Mobile Apps

    Mobile apps for the High Court of Meghalaya is developed in Android and iOS platforms and is ready for deployment. The mobile app developed include the services of Causelist, Display board in real time, filing status, Case status, Certified Copy status, Judgment & Orders, free text search of contents of Judgment/Orders with searched features based on the keyword, year and order type. The App will be made available in play store and App store for the lawyers and litigants to download and install.

    e-Directory

    e-Directory have been developed which captures personal information of the Judges, Judicial Officers, Officers and staffs of the High Court and Sub-ordinate courts.

    Certified copies application

    Certified copies application is developed and implemented with the aim of intimating the status of the Certified copies application via email and SMS to the lawyers and litigants. The application provides a user friendly interface where a staff can store data, check on the status and maintain the progress of a particular application with the click of a button.

    Virtual Courts

    Virtual Courts provide a convenient option for citizens to pay traffic fines online, resulting in an efficient and seamless method of dealing with traffic challans. As pilot project, four locations are identified namely Shillong, Tura, Jowai and Nongpoh and Nodal Officer in the rank of Judicial Magistrate first class were nominated in the 4 locations for examining the possibility of extending Virtual Courts to cover other summary cases. To ensure that Virtual Court is implemented, regular meetings were conducted with all Department concerns.

    Electronic Filing or efiling

    Testing of the efiling application is being done for both High Court and District Court. In the efiling module, there is an option for online payment and offline payment of Court fees. The off-line payment of court fee has been tested and is ready to be deployed. Encouraging eFiling will help in ushering paperless courts.

    Laptops

    For effective use of CIS and other ICT tools almost all Judicial Officers have been provided with new laptops from the funds sanctioned by the State Government.
